General Information
Featuring 403 luxurious rooms and suites the Hotel Metropol is
undoubtedly the most elegant of Moscow's historic hotels. Having joined
the Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts Group, the Metropol has
improved the quality of its service to equal its world-renowned and
truly outstanding facilities. Upon entering the hotel guests are
transported back in time to an elegant and stlyish turn-of-the-century
atmosphere. Built between 1898 and 1903 in sumptuous Art Nouveau style,
the hotel has witnessed many historic events and even featured in some
of the scenes in David Lean's classic film Dr. Zhivago. Guest rooms
combine old-style luxury with the latest in comfort, while the
restaurants serve exquisite cuisine. Moscow's most exclusive hotel is
located in the very heart of the city, opposite the famed Bolshoi

Rooms & Suites
The Metropol's guest rooms are luxurious and elegant and equipped with every conceivable modern amenity. After the renovation of 1991 the rooms combine turn of the century Art Nouveau decorations, original paintings and antiques with comfortable and stylish furniture. Single Room
The hotel offers a choice of 105 Single Rooms, all approximately 20 sq. meters in area and featuring one queen-sized bed and a private bathroom with bath, shower and WC. Rooms offer views into the hotel's inner courtyard or of the neighboring street and feature TV with local and payable satellite channels, radio, mini-bar, telephone, modem port, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning and writing desk.
Standard Room
The hotel features 106 Standard Rooms, each 25 sq. meters in size and containing one king-sized bed and a private bathroom with bath, shower and WC. An additional 2 beds can be installed in the room for an extra charge. Rooms off view into either the hotel's inner courtyard or the neighboring street and feature the following amenities; TV with local and payable satellite channels, radio, mini-bar, telephone, modem port, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, writing desk, bathrobe and slippers, balcony and a complimentary daily newspaper.
Two-Room Suite
The hotel offers a choice of 33 Two-Room Suites, each 56-63 sq. meters in area and featuring a bedroom with one king-sized bed, a sitting room containing antique furniture and a balcony, a guest toilet and a spacious private bathroom with bath, shower, bidet and WC. Up to an additional 3 beds can be installed in the bedroom for an extra charge. Suites feature views into the hotel's inner courtyard or of the neighboring street. Suite amenities include TV with local and satellite channels, radio, refrigerator, mini-bar, telephone, modem port, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, writing desk, bathrobe and slippers and free daily newspaper.
Three-Room Suite
The Metropol offers 7 deluxe Three-Room Suites measuring 85 sq. meters
in size. Suites feature a bedroom with one king-sized bed, a sitting
room with pieces of antique furniture and a balcony, a study, dining
room, guest toilet and a spacious private bathroom with bath, shower,
bidet and WC. An extra 2-3 beds can be installed in the bedroom at an
additional cost. Suites feature views onto the neighboring street and
are equipped with TV with local and satellite channels, radio,
refrigerator, mini-bar, telephone, modem port, in-suite personal safe,
hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, writing desk,
bathrobe and slippers and complimentary daily newspaper.
Presidential Suite
The Metropol features just two luxury Presidential Suites, each
measuring approximately 93 sq. meters in area and featuring one
queen-sized bed and a private bathroom with bath, shower, sauna, bidet
and WC. Suites offer views onto the neighboring street and are equipped
with TV with local and satellite channels, radio, refrigerator,
mini-bar, telephone, modem port, in-room personal safe, hairdryer, iron
and ironing board, individually controlled air conditioning and writing
desk.
Business Suite
The hotel offers just one Business Suite, measuring just over 96 sq.
meters in area and featuring a bedroom with one king-sized bed and a
spacious private bathroom with bath, shower cabinet, Jacuzzi, bidet and
WC. An additional 2 beds can be installed in the suite for an extra
charge. Suites feature views into the hotel's inner courtyard and are
equipped with TV with local and satellite channels, radio, refrigerator,
mini-bar, telephone, modem port, in-room personal safe, hairdryer, iron
and ironing board, individually controlled air conditioning, writing
desk, bathrobe and slippers and complimentary daily newspaper.
Restaurants and Bars
The hotel's grandiose 260-seater Metropol Restaurant offers
delicious French, Russian and European cuisine in the elegance of a
turn-of-the-century banqueting hall. Enjoy the hotel's generous buffet
breakfast here each morning or opt for the excellent a la carte service
for lunch or dinner. Live classical music accompanies diners between 7am
and 10.30am and 7pm and 11pm. All major credit cards accepted.
Enjoy the continental specialties and
delicious traditional Russian fare of the Metropol's 80-seater Evropeisky
Restaurant. Chose from a light and imaginative a la carte selection
and relax to the strains of live classical ensembles every evening

The hotel's luxury Boyarsky
Restaurant serves excellent traditional Russian cuisine, prepared
from ancient recipes, in sumptuously elegant surroundings. Diners can
enjoy live classical music every evening between 7pm and 11pm. All major

The Metropol's Shamyakin Lobby Bar
seats up to 60 people and offers a broad selection of beers, wines,
spirits and non-alcoholic beverages and a short menu of snacks and
pastries. The bar features live music every evening from 5pm until 11pm
and accepts all major credit cards.
The cosy and intimate Artist Bar
features a broad selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and
a menu of light meals, snacks and desserts. All major credit cards
accepted.
The hotel's Patisserie Cafe
seats up to 40 people and offers a tasty selection of teas, coffees,
soft drinks, pastries and desserts. All major credit cards accepted.

The Metropol's main Conference Hall
is situated on the 1st floor of the hotel and can accommodate up to 297
people in an amphitheater setting. The hall is fully air-conditioned and
comes equipped with a 4-language simultaneous translation system,
overhead and slide projector and screen, audio-video equipment and radio
microphones.
The hotel's 1st floor Red Hall
is fully air-conditioned and features a 2-language simultaneous
translation system and any of the following equipment upon request;
overhead or slide projector and screen, audio-video equipment and radio
microphones. The hall's seating capacity varies according to the
