General Information
The Hotel Mezhdunarodnaya-1 is centrally located on the northern bank of
the Moskva River, just a stone's throw from the World Trade Center,
Expocenter exhibition grounds and the Russian Government complex
("White House"). Due to the close proximity of the World Trade
Center, the hotel caters essentially to business travelers and provides
a wide range of business and conference services. Nicknamed by its
expatriate clientele as the "Mezh", the Mezhdunarodnaya offers
modern and comfortable rooms, many of which overlook the Moskva River
and the gigantic gothic bulk of the Hotek Ukraina, another of Stalin's
Soviet skyscrapers. Although not ideally situated, the hotel is still
relatively central and is an excellent choice for business travelers
seeking comfortable accommodation, modern amenities and comprehensive
conference facilities.
Rooms & Suites
The Mezhdunarodnaya's rooms are reasonably spacious and very
comfortable, providing direct dial satellite telephone, additional
telephone in the bathroom, TV with satellite movie and news channels,
individually-controlled heating and air conditioning system, work desk
with lamp, mini-bar, radio, hairdryer, bathrobe, electronic locks, fire
alarm and sprinkler system. Facilities vary slightly from room to room.
All suites feature views overlooking the Moskva River, modem plug-in
ports to facilitate Internet access, king-size beds, and balconies.
Restaurants and Bars
The hotel offers a range of dining options, featuring Russian, European
and Oriental cuisine and the choice of ordering a la carte or opting for
the permanent buffet selections. The "Mezh" also houses
several cafes, serving light meals and refreshments. Guests might also
like to wander over to the neighboring World Trade center and try one of
its lively bars or cafes.
Conference and congress premises are available with accommodation
capacities from 8 to 1500 delegates. The most state-of-the-art meeting
equipment and meeting support services are available as well. The
