General Information
The three-star Moskva or Moscow
Hotel in St.Petersburg is another hotel well located and well priced.
Perfect for exploring St.Petersburg the hotel is located at the end of
Nevsky Prospekt and is a ten or so minute walk from the very heart of
things. Opposite the hotel is the Alexander Nevsky Monastery where many
of Russia's most famous artists, musicians and scientists are buried
including Tchaikovsky, Borodin etc. A truly fascinating experience just
opposite the hotel.
The hotel itself is large
with long corridors but a friendly staff - this hotel has always been
popular with Finns. There is a bridge just outside the hotel across the
Neva River - be sure not to sleep at least one night to see the bridge
silently open and the barges and boats pass through between Lake Ladoga
and the Baltic Sea. A truly surreal experience, cutting off half of
St.Petersburg every night for a few hours from the city centre.
